To Live Simply

I want to live simply

A life I can own humbly.

To sit by the window when it rains

and read books without plots of pains.

To write about love, the one I’ve never had,

to which I may feel bad, sad or glad.

To paint earth’s gifts and nature,

never a blur or vulgar of a picture.

To listen to music in silence

just to forget about love’s absence.

To sleep when the moon is full and high,

and wake up slow without asking why.

Not to be governed by clocks or money

or any artificial restraints to humanity.

Boundless and infinite I want to be,

This life I live I want to see.
